Here I am, home again.  The vacation is long over.  I did take a lot of pictures and, if you want to see, I put a sampling in my photo album.

My husband and I have never been able to take a long vacation.  He coached football and that meant he only had two weeks during August that he was free. So, all the things he didn't have time to do around the house also needed to be done.

I didn't have time to plan the trip in as much detail as I wanted, but we headed out on scenic roads.  We went on hardly any interstates or freeways.  It turned out great.  We only got into a situation one time where we weren't sure if we'd make it to the next gas station.

We camped at as many state and national parks as we could.  Now that my husband qualified for the National Parks Senior Pass we saved money on those parks.

We are actually planning another trip next year.  We started out with the idea of a long trip when we decided to go to Missouri to help our son with his house remodel.  It turned out that he had contractor problems (big surprise there) and there wasn't a lot we could do to help.  So, next year we are going to head back out there via the northern states.  I hope the gasoline prices go down.  That's what hurts the most.

When I got back I had to prepare for court.  That took all of my time because I was my attorney's "assistant" to save money.  I compiled everything for our evidence books and more.  Now it is all over and I can focus on all the other things that have been on hold.  I will be putting together as brief an overview as I can as to why I've been in court.  So, if you are interested, you will be finding out when that is done.

Here's a tidbit:
1.  My mother starved to death on 3/14/09.
2.  My youngest brother was her caregiver.
3.  He took her to have her trust changed to give him the house and everything in it after she was diagnosed with moderate dementia.

There's a lot more to the story, especially why I was unable to get anyone to do anything about it before she died.  I've been a bit wrapped up in the whole situation including two court trials.
Over the last two years I have gotten behind on a lot of things.  Trying to save money on attorney fees, I've been spending a lot of time doing research and putting together facts.  My attorney told me I was the best organizer he has ever seen.  I knew that God had given me the gift of organization.  I just didn't know it was of high quality.  Smiley face
I'm sorry it has taken so long to update this "weekly" Bible study.  I won't do a Bible study if my heart is in the wrong place.  I have still not forgiven two of my brothers for allowing my mother to suffer and to turn their heads the other way.  Before you faint from shock at my unforgiveness, read the Bible Study below.

You just don't expect your siblings to engage in greed, torture, and murder.  You also don't expect the authorities to turn a blind eye to what is happening.  I've discovered things that are wrong with our system that would probably knock you over.  The whole, ugly, situation makes forgiveness extra hard.  I will get there, but it is taking some time.

I still love my brothers.  I just hate what they did.
