I have been praying and asking God to help me find a dear friend of mine with whom I had lost contact.  I have been praying for this request for six years.  I never told anyone about it or asked for prayer.  Yesterday, God answered my prayer and I was able to talk on the phone to my dear, cherished friend.

I am convinced the reason my prayer was not answered until yesterday is because I was not serving Jesus with my whole heart.  I was more interested in the things of the world than in serving Jesus.

If you have been praying for something for years and it seems like your prayers are not being answered, search your heart and see if you are in right standing with Jesus.  We can’t expect Jesus to answer our prayers if we don’t spend time with Him and serve Him.
