I SAID NO

Separator

“A wise son heareth his father’s instruction: but a scorner heareth not rebuke.”
Proverbs 13:1

I can remember my Mother saying to me, “I said no".  Did your parents say that to you?  Have you said that to your children or someone else?

Jesus gives us very clear instructions in the Bible about what we are to do and what we are not to do.  If we listen closely, we will hear Him say, “I said no.”

As parents, we get tired of saying this, and I am sure Jesus also gets tired of saying it.  He tells us not to be close companions with people who are not Christians.  That does not mean that we are not to associate with them.  It means that we are not to spend our leisure time with them.

It only takes one person to tempt you to take drugs, alcohol, smoke, or have sex.  Be very careful whom you choose as your close friends.  I have a lot of friends, but I only spend my spare time with friends who love Jesus.

Is Jesus saying, “NO” to you?  If so, are you doing it anyway?
