GOD’S FAMILY

“For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care for one another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it. Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.”
1 Corinthians 12:24-27

God says that everyone who has been saved, born again through the Precious, Atoning Blood of Jesus are all members of His Family.  We are to weep with one another and rejoice with one another.  There is to be no jealousy of one another as God has given each one of us a calling and a work to do for Him.  We each have talents that He has bestowed upon us.  We must make the choice if we are going to employ them, or bury them in the sand.

A very dear friend of mine who is a Pastor’s wife that I have known for many years told me not to call her anymore because I was no longer in their congregation.  Another Pastor’s wife said that I needed to be careful that I don’t allow satan to tempt me with pride.

One day, we will all be together for Eternity and we will be able to talk to each other forever. My friend who told me not to call her because she was no longer my Pastor’s wife will realize that just because I am not physically in the same building where they worship, does not mean that we are to stop talking to one another.

The Pastor’s wife who was concerned about satan tempting me with pride will understand that when you have been under a bed in a mental hospital, there is no way to be tempted with pride.  I stand amazed and awed that Jesus would allow me to serve Him and trust me with the responsibility to carry out the calling He assigned to me.  No, I have never had a struggle with pride.  The struggle that I face on an ongoing basis is satan telling me that I am no good, that Jesus doesn’t Love me, and I should kill myself.

Thank God for His Amazing, Protective Hand from satan and all his lies!  Please don’t discourage others from serving Jesus.  Pray for the ones who have dedicated their lives to Him in full time service.

As you read this, are you a part of God’s Family?  Has there ever been a time when you realized that you are a sinner without any hope?  Have you asked Jesus to forgive you and come into your heart?  If you have prayed that prayer, please be sure it came from your heart and not just a head and verbal commitment.  None of us will go to Heaven unless we have made a heart commitment to Jesus.

Note from Joanne:
Always remember that we are all a part of the Family of God!
