“Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.”
2 Peter 3:14

I found a spot of blood on my towel so I immediately ran it under cold water.  We need to immediately run to Jesus when we find a spot of anger, harshness, cruelty, and things that hurt other people in our heart.  It is imperative that we allow Jesus to wash the spot in our heart away before it sets in and we become hardened in our heart.

This verse tell us to be diligent with our heart.  Jesus will help us, but He won’t do it all.  We have to go to Him and ask Him to forgive us for the bitterness and anger in our heart.  Don’t put it off and certainly, don’t go to bed angry with your spouse.  God may call your spouse Home before you wake up in the morning.

How about your heart today?  Is it filled with spots that hurt the Heart of Jesus?  Have you allowed the wounds and hurts that others have inflicted upon you to fester in your heart?  The longer you wait, the harder it will be to go to Jesus and ask Him to remove the bitterness from your heart.

Open your heart to Jesus and let Him pour His Spot Remover of Forgiveness, Love, and Mercy in your heart so that you can stand before Him without those crippling spots in your heart.
